Where the numbers come from

Every D1, D2 and D3 program publishes its roster. Ten seasons of those rosters show who arrived as a freshman, who transferred in, and who left. Zionball reads that history for 946 programs and models how many players each one is likely to bring in at each position, for every class from 2027 to 2030.

Freshman and transfer intake are modeled separately and never added together. They are different recruiting paths, and a program that fills a spot from the portal is not one that will need a freshman there.

Oklahoma, class of 2028. Expected counts, so 1.6 means the model expects between one and two.

These are modeled estimates from public roster data. They show where need is likely to be. They are not a promise of an offer, and they cannot see a coaching change, an injury, or a player who decommits in March.

What each plan gets

One camp weekend runs a few hundred dollars once you count fees, travel, and a hotel. One camp you skip because that program is not recruiting your position pays for a long time here.

Questions before you start?

Send a message and it reaches the person who built Zionball. A camp that looks wrong, a number you want explained, something the site should do and doesn't: all of it is worth hearing.

We use your details to reply and for nothing else. They are not added to any mailing list and not shared.
